Another summer anthem from 2005 which was nominated for the 2005 IDMA
Award for Best House Track keeps on going, stronger then the energizer
bunny with a new set of remixes guaranteed to start the mayhem all
over again. Barbara Tucker gives one of her best vocal performances
ever with an excellent house tune that gives us a sense of where house
music is going in the future with the roots of its beginning firmly
intact. The remixes are, pardon my French, a fucking knockout! With no
disrespect to the awesome remixes we were introduced to last summer,
this one kicks it up to knotches unknown. Once again we are graced
with the presence of the Freemasons as we are humbled in the presence
of the Freemasons' "Proper" Club Mix which runs for nine minutes of
absolute fun and energy.
The Freemasons Dub Mix takes a little bit
more of the main vocal out, shortening the excitement to just over
seven minutes but nevertheless working the dancefloor just as
fiercely. The Sergio Flores Scientific Soul Afro Vox Mix takes it a
perfectly blended mix of soul, latin, lounge, and laidback house
flavor with all of the energy that makes you want to slap yo mamma!
Next up is the Ian Carey Club Mix which keeps the original there, but
spices up the beats some more to give it a more thump in your hump.
The Chocolate Puma Remix turns in a more electro-edgy mix good enough
to satisfy your more darker pleasures. While you'll hear less of
Barbara Tucker and the chorus in this one, it definitely gives you the
urge to sing along on the dancefloor with the rest of the diehards. If
you missed out on this house anthem last summer, you really should be
ashamed of yourself and probably shouldn't even admit it to anyone. In
fact, if you want to be taken seriously in this industry if you missed
out on this last summer you should probably just keep it to yourself
and make it up to your own conscience and pick up the remix CD Single
that also contains the Enhanced Video and start you're DJing career
off on the right foot.
