A little more than two years behind the first release from Groove Gravy in this series, this album features 14 slices of funky Brazilian rhythms juiced up with some electronic seasoning, including 10 brand-new new for this disc. Cyz leads of the disc with the bouncy "Que Zomba" and also duets with Gilberto Gil on "Eu Tenho Pena," a slow (not quite down-) tempo number just past the halfway point on the disc that sounds like it just floated out of the rainforest and features a nice fat synth line. She pops up one more time on the Swag remix of "Canta Maria Macambria," which evokes Stevie Wonder's "Boogie On Reggae Woman" with its funky keyboard figures. The Tao of Groove also appear in dual roles, remixing Electric Coco's "Arte de Cricao" and with their own track "Dance Floor (Nu Brazilia remix)," both swinging like a Carnival dancer's hips. Jazzelicious drops "Fantastico," which starts out with a drum line sounding all military-like but quickly drops in keys and horns that wouldn't sound out of place on a late 70's Earth Wind & Fire record. John Beltran checks in with an energetic version of the Martin East Project's "Neverending" featuring strummed guitars to round out the remix work.
