After four full album releases, this project is right on time. With B In The Mix, listeners can enjoy a collection of remixes that have graced club turntables worldwide. Unlike some remix projects, "B" steers clear of including multiple mixes of the same song and avoids commercially unfriendly club-length tracks (with all but three clocking in around 4 minutes long). Heavyweight remixers from Peter Rauhofer to Jason Nevins tackle a collection of Britney hits and several not-so-popular songs.

The remixes of "Toxic," "Touch of my Hand," new track "And Then We Kiss," "Someday," and "Baby One More Time" hold their own. Highlights include "Everytime (Valentin remix)," with its serious groove, pounding percussion, and thick synth stack and Hex Hector and Dezrok's "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know." "I'm A Slave 4 U (Dave Aude slave driver mix)" is awash with quirky analog touches and a driving guitar track, while "Early Mornin'" is the only hip-hop cut included. Although I would have liked to seen this project consist of least 15-16 tracks, this is a decent release that should please any Britney fan and most club music fanatics.
