It's hard for me to listen to this and not think of Telepopmuzik's big hit Breathe. It contains a similar synth-hook plus has that same lounge-y melodic thing going for it (or maybe hindering it ). While this kind of sound can work here and there, it doesn't lend or translate itself to the dance floor very well. This kind of track is the sort that I would listen to while cleaning house or vegging out after a long day; it's not the kind that makes me wanna get up and move.
I think quite often those in the dance industry have such a love for the "sound" that we sometimes lose track of what actually makes people dance. Sometimes the beauty of a certain hook or melody can send chills down our spines but can it make you work it out in the club? Or it could be that Chab knows something I don't food for thought.
Two mixes are included: an album mix and a 12" Club Remix that is simply a more beefed-up album version that's been extended. If you're looking for high-energy this isn't it; if you're looking for mellow, then you've hit the jackpot.
