Chris "The Greek" Panaghi is no stranger to the club scene. He has been packing dance floors with his remixes and original productions since the mid 90s. Hot on the heels of his recent club smash "Pump," Chris is back with another surefire hit on his hands with "You Just Don't Get It." With remixes by Klubjumpers and DJ Extreme, this song is a great choice for some late night dancing.
Chris' own Club Mix is a very basic progressive house track. Lots of synthesizers are the main ingredient here along with the vocals about a love gone wrong. The song never reaches a peak level, but in this case, it never really needs to. For something with a bit more meat to it, check out the Klubjumpers Club Mix. This remix incorporates more drums and percussion, giving it a more commercial flavor. This is the version to play during your peak hour sessions. The drums are especially effective here, giving the track that extra edge that is missing from the original mix. The Electrik Pulse Mix takes this song to a synth heavy place with the placement of extra electronic noises and beats. It's doesn't grab the ear as much as the other mixes, but it will blend in nicely with a set of this style of electro-flavored tunes. The DJ Extreme Breakbeat Club Mix is exactly as the title states. I'm not a big fan of the breakbeat style personally, so I am probably prejudiced when I say that I don't really care for this mix. The song feels stripped of any energy and it's not something I would play. But for those who enjoy this style, it is a nice choice. Finally, the Kevin Maroda Mix gets us back into the deep house arena with a mix brimming with hot tribal drums and a booming bass line. The nice thing about all of these mixes is that they all keep and incorporate the entire vocal, which is something I feel very strongly about. Dubs are dubs and mixes are mixes. Leave the vocals be!
