For those longing for the stuff that Crystal Method has been missing since Tweekend, this soundtrack will certainly stir a little hope that the duo are rediscovering their potential. The group has nine new tracks here, although many are short in length, ranging from a minute to, on average, four & a half minutes. "Roboslut," "Smoked," and "Defective," with their similar effects and song structure, sound like a bridge between Vegas and Tweekend, almost as if the fans are being thrown a few familiar bones of nuance. The hottest track is "Fire to Me," which kicks with Morello-ish guitar and the good ole siren-sounding synths. The most moving piece is the moody title track, which is reminiscent of the Edge's intense dreamy guitar work on the Captive soundtrack. Although still not quite the genius found on their early work, the songs here are definitely a step back in the right direction.

There are other artists included on the compilation, ranging in styles from modern rock (Perishers) to surf (The Out Crowd) to funk (Connie Price and the Keystones), but there's one particular track of note. Fittingly, the group that many fans disappointed with Crystal Method have looked to for their funky break fix (and recently toured together), have a track included here: Evil Nine. Their groups' sound is somewhere between Method and Groove Armada and thunders here on "Restless" with guest vocalist Toastie Taylor taking us to the Jamaican side of London.
