Detroit native Danielle Bollinger made it big last year with her massive hit "When The Broken Hearted Love Again." The success of Danielle's song can be attributed to her beautiful voice, powerful lyrics, and the remixing genius of Chris Cox.

The follow-up to "When The Broken Hearted Love Again" is Danielle's newest release titled "Kiss The Sky." I have to admit, when I first heard the title to "Kiss The Sky," all I could think about was the verse in Jimi Hendrix's song "Purple Haze" were he sings "'excuse me while I kiss the sky." However, Danielle's song is about love and by "kissing the sky" she connects with the one she loves.

Chris Cox is noticeably absent on the promotional round of mixes. My favorite mix for "Kiss The Sky" is delivered by Mike Rizzo. The "Mike Rizzo Global Club Mix" contains Mike's signature bassline which is dominant and grabs hold of you. I think it is very similar to Tamia's "Officially Missing You." The "M2 Dub" contains very few vocals with Danielle mainly repeating "kiss the sky," while the "Pop Rock Edit" is definitely rock-tinged thanx to the drums and guitars used in the mix.

The "Andrew Emil House Mix" is a great house mix with a strong and simple beat and the "Tod Miner Hard Club Mix" leans toward the tribal end of the spectrum thanks to the percussion used accompanied by the repetitive synths. Overall, I was impressed with the song and I was glad to see a different group of remixers used for the single versus her first release.
