The continuation of D:Fuse's "People" series, "People_3: Both Sides Of The Picture.Live" delivers just what it promises in its two-disc set featuring "People_Clubbing Live" and "People_Chilling." Dustin Fusilier (aka D:Fuse) writes in the album notes that he wanted to bring different styles together. Although many albums may have been made with the same goal in mind, this album actually accomplishes the task while remaining a technically masterful blend and an enjoyable listen.

People_Clubbing will take you on a ride from tribal house with live percussion to synth-driven trance tracks with live vocals and back again. This disc features an excellent selection of tracks which will expose you to the many styles of music D:Fuse is famous for featuring in his live sets. Recorded at Club Mighty in San Francisco, D:Fuse seamlessly blends live drums and percussion with vocals from MC Flint, guitar and bass riffs from Mike Hiratzka, and an epic conclusion with an original production featuring live vocals from the legendary Jes.

Matt Darey's "Eternity" is among one of the best tracks on the disc and features stunning operatic vocals by Isabel Cooper (aka "Izzy") and makes Emma Shaplin's "Spente Le Stelle" sound like the work of an amateur. As a live disc there are the typical shout-outs to the audience and it's these moments that are the only low point on the disc. Although you can feel the energy the D:Fuse and his entourage pour into the show, the recording of this disc makes it sound as if there are about a dozen people in the room. Despite the low level of crowd noise, D:Fuse put together another masterpiece with this live set which will appeal to the discerning house junkie and rookie house head alike.

The second disc, People_Chilling is simply the ultimate chillout mix. There are few, if any, albums with the flavor and density of People_Chilling. The technical mixing skills are flawless. D:Fuse's track selection is astonishing. Whether at home relaxing with friends or in the car on the way home from a club, this disc will get you where you want to be.

D:Fuse has several original productions including the magical "Everything With You" remixed by Jay Sustain and a People 3 exclusive collaboration with Mark Horwood on "Music is About Life". One my favorite tracks on this disc was Pizmo's "Winsome" which is a blissful blend of soft beats, soothing keyboards and a soulful trumpet whisper. It's as if D:Fuse packed in a frosty mojito, a white sand beach and a slow sunset with each track on this album. People_Chilling is truly an amazing experience that will unwind and defuse (bad pun intended) any listener.
