First and foremost, the set seems a little on the repetitive side. I'm always saying to my friends that I wish a DJ would release a beats-only compilation, and Paulo is not short on the beats whatsoever. The problem comes when the beats are much too similar from song-to-song. I'd rather not hear 80 minutes of the same drums that seem to go nowhere.
Having said that, most of the tracks are great and could stand on their own quite easily. In fact, this CD gives you the first listen to some exclusive DJ Paulo creations like "Allow the Drums," "U Aint That Good," and "Oh Yea" (which samples the amazing Fumix production from 2000). It's when they're put together that they grow tiresome.
Not a bad disc all together, so don't let my cynicism throw you for a loop. If for nothing else, pick a copy up for the individual tracks because there are some real good ones here. Personally though, I'll stick to my mixshows.
