Newcomer Dianne Wesley has already had success on the charts with her debut single "I Can't Wait." With a slew of mixes from mixers such as Denny Tsettos and the Flash Brothers, it's easy to see why this song climbed as high as it did this summer. Denny's mix is actually a dub, with only the line "I can't wait for your love" being what we hear from Dianne. Despite that, it's a funky progressive house stomper with lots of synth stabs and chugging bass. The Flash Brothers Remix take the track in a more electro direction with harder beats surrounding the singer's breathy vocal delivery. The piano used in the intro and the breakdown are a nice touch as well.
Gordon Black provides two mixes, the 4AM Dark Trip Dub and his Full Vocal Mix. The dub is a tribal/late night journey with minimal vocals and lots of heavy drums and keys. The full vocal is basically the same version of the song with more vocals, but they don't sound right here in this arena. The verses get drowned out by all that's going on around them. For something a little more on the mainstream tip, check out the Original Club Mix as well as the Club Anthem Mix. The former is a bit more synth-happy while the latter is a bouncy jam with all the standard elements needed to create a floor filler.
The Peter Wheaton Remix is a filtered house version that never seems to get off the ground. It's upbeat and fun, but something seems to be missing here. Clyde Santiago gets us back on track with his remix. This one is also an electro-styled mix with lots of synthesizers and a pulsing beat. The only distracting thing about these mixes is the inclusion of a Stevie B.-sounding vocal. This was totally unnecessary and kicks up the cheese factor by about ten notches. Dianne's voice is really the only one need in this song. These mixes are still worthy of your attention if you can look past that.
Finally, the Discofied Dub takes the track into a happy house direction with lots of old school keyboards and guitar riffs. It sounds like it was picked right out of a bin of records from the late nineties. As you can see, there are a lot of choices here to pick from, depending on what fits best for your mood. Hopefully, we will be seeing and hearing more from this talented new singer in the future.
