Danielle Bollinger - You'll Always Have Me

Danielle Bolinger is back with her third hit for clubland. Unfortunately, this one's just not doing it for me. I loved "When The Broken Hearted Love Again" and I grew to love "Kiss The Sky," but "You'll Always Have Me" just seems to drag along and go nowhere. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics are sweet and touching, but my ears just don't seem to enjoy this "touching" dance mix.

There are a slew of mixes on the CD promo, including turns by Junior Vasquez and Mike Rizzo. Also included are a couple of ballad versions which seem to work better with the song than the dance versions. Of all the dance versions, I have to say Junior's 'extended' mix is the one I'm giving a chance. Both his 'club' and 'extended' mixes are more on the mellow side, but the 'extended' has a somewhat harder edge (if you can even call it that) and is my pick of the bunch. This is most certainly not a peak-hour anthem, but could definitely work for tea dance atmospheres.

Mike Rizzo's mix is also okay. Again, nothing special, just okay. His mixes for "Kiss The Sky" far surpass his take on this track. Mike's work for me is usually hit or miss. This would be one of those "misses."

Chico and M2 also turned in their take on "You'll Always Have Me" and are by no means bad, but I feel everyone did the best they could with a somewhat mediocre track.

I really like Danielle and I think she's got a great voice for dance music, I just don't really like this song. Here's to looking forward to single number four.
