Elkland isn't a household name and nor will this single, "Apart," remedy that for them I was disappointed with the lack of direction of the four remixes. All but one out of the four I kinda-sorta liked but not whole-heartedly.
Many of you can agree that not every rock song is meant to be remixed. What gives? First, they sounded like clones of The Cure and the only possible dance track is the first mix, courtesy of Palash, but even the bass lines were clearly not defined and not, well, bass-y enough. Perhaps leaving well enough alone isn't good enough, but the remainder of the single belongs playing in some dive bar on the lower, lower east or west side of wherever and whatever town you live in.
