DJ Dan, Dave Aude, Ralphi Rosario, and Craig J. Snider get in on the remix action for Enrique Iglesias's first single from his new album, Insomniac. The "Ralphi Rosario & Craig CJS Vocal Mix" gets the job done well enough, and features a somewhat dark and lush tribal house vibe. The mix is solid and puts the song and the vocals in the spotlight, while the production aptly pumps up the song. The "Ralphi Rosario Thick n Chunky Dub" combines a solid house feel with more synths, creating a nice and epic atmosphere. The whispering vocal snippets are minimal, and succeed in giving the dub a little Enrique flair. However, I like it when Ralphi brings the energy and hits it out of the park, and it's just not happening here. Saving the best for last, the DJ Dan remixes are my favorites. There's a vocal, dub and rerub which all include additional production from Dave Aude. Aude and DJ Dan complement each other well, and strike up a fun, funky, and powerful feel. DJ Dan's bassline is brilliant, and echoes part of the synth line from The Human League's "Don't You Want Me". Excellent drops and builds keep the drama alive. The breakbeat parts are utilized to perfection and keep these mixes way fun. Drop, build, breakbeat, and take it home with a hard house groove. Dan knows what he's doing when it comes to funky house music and it shows here. An above average collection of remixes from some of the best veteran DJs out there make this single a hot pick.
