This has got to be one of the hottest tracks ever to sample a song from the 80s. Eric Prydz samples Steve Winwood’s 1980s hit single "Valerie" and makes use of his "Call On Me, I’m the same boy I used to be" lyrics. This floated around as a bootleg for sometime under the names Thomas Bangalter and Red Kult. When Steve Winwood heard the remix he liked it so much that he re-recorded his vocals for this official print. So now, several months later this single is legally ready to take the world by storm and destroy charts, airwaves and dancefloors around the globe. The song takes the Steve Winwood samples and uses clever loops and filters and repeats the fun behind a bold solid disco house beat that people will find almost impossible not to get their groove on. This song totally gets me pumped up for dance music and once this track gets in your head, there is no chance of a letdown. The energy that builds in this single simply fails to disappoint. The Remixes include the Radio Edit, Filterheadz Remix, Red Kult Dub Pass 2 Mix, JJ Stockholm Club Mix and for those DJ’s who like to play a little retarded check out the Eric Prydz vs. Retarded Funk Mix.
Did I mention that they also have the hottest and steamy video I’ve seen since Benny Benassi’s "Satisfaction." Look for the video and this track to be up for some awards to be up for some awards.
