This continuous-mix CD is European dance music determined to be a part of your workout. Tracks from the album have been featured on several record pool disks and across dance clubs and health spas in Europe. Ilona, a native of Poland, is already getting club play in a few large US cities and has been featured in several dance magazines, including Billboard and Remix.
Some of the vocal ideas (transitional whinings, etc.) are weak, and Ilona is not one of the better dance divas I've heard. Some tracks don't have memorable hooks, and some are too perky as far as vocals, keyboards, etc. But there are some redeeming qualities to the project.
Most of the songs here are dark with a trance/dance vibe, and a bpm in the 130s. For the most part, the programming is strong and the mixing, tight and professional. The remixes better their originals, especially with "Heartache" and "Love in Disguise." Other standout tracks are high energy dance kicker "Summer Night" and "Say You Love Me," the catchiest song on the album with a New Order-like arpeggio.
