I've said for some time that the only good things to come out of American Idol were Kelly Clarkson and Tamyra Grey, but hold up .did someone say an openly *gasp* gay American Idol contestant getting a release? And with top notch remixers to boot. Whodathunk it?
The album version is very radio-friendly, as one must be these days. I could defiantly see this being a hit but there's something about his delivery during the verses that's leaving a taste in my mouth. It's probably just that vanilla Frappuccino I had earlier. Hot remixers L.E.X. and Mike Cruz take the song up about five notches with their tribal-infused beats. While both are great examples of a remix done right, I'm a leaning toward the L.E.X. mix and dub that synth is working me.
I'm not going to give some Martin Luther "I have a dream" speech about the possibility of one day having a huge gay pop star we already have Clay Aiken, don't we? But it does put a smile on my face to see this kid get a release if only for that reason.
