Kaos - Hello Stranger

!K7 Records
DJ Kaos, formerly known as Ghost Cauldron (formerly of Terranova), may just have another rock-solid full length album on his hands. This time around, the electro-technician joins forces with a host of celebrated producers as he explores a dark and strobe-lit world of all things groovy. Joined by Daniel Wang, The Rapture's Matt B. Safer, and Erlend Oye, Kaos is able to truly explore and convey his "inner-grove," baby.

The album breaks out with a funky electro-jazz jam entitled "Lessons in Love," and continues to roll along in the same suit. Hello Stranger is thick with funky electric basslines (Feel Like I Feel, Juices), hot Latin percussion (Now and Forever), smoking guitar riffs, and enough live disco nuance to spice up the coldest of nights. Electropop trash has never sounded so good, and post-rock enthusiasts should absolutely embrace the stylings found within.

The album's production and live recording techniques are top notch; look for the first single (Boogie Boy) to be included in 2005's hottest DJ sets.
