"There is gonna be a celebration!!!"—Truer lyrics could not have been spoken in the opening track of the Global Groove compilation mixed by DJ Kimberly S. By combining driving rhythms and uplifting vocals, Kimberly S delivers a non-stop dance mix that will make you want to run to the nearest dancefloor.

Opening the disc with The Sweet Inspirations' "Celebration" is a great move because it lays the groundwork for the entire disc. The Roland Belmares Good Times Club Mix surrounds the positive lyrics with an uplifting energy that will have you jumping to the high heavens. It's great to see Michael Tank's Anthem of Gioia Bruno's "Why Did You Call Me" included as he is a great up and coming producer in dance music. The staccato synth stabs accompanies Gioia's vocals perfectly and is the quintessential "diva done wrong" anthem. The monstrous dance radio hit "No Strings" by Lola follows with this diva seducing her man, as well as the listener with her infectious and naughty lyrics.

Kimberly then follows up with a track that has been scorching dancefloors for the past few months, Tim Rex Experiment featuring Veronica's "Relentless (Just a Game)." Manny Lehman's Big Room Anthem Mix has Veronica's vocals battling with a Tim Rex's classic "Relentless," manipulated quite perfectly by Lehman. Capitalizing on the relentless energy of the disc, Kimberly segues masterfully into the percussive rhythms of Luca Ricci's "Set Me Free" and TJM's "Small Circle of Friends," before bringing back the divas. Giuseppe D's powerful, aggressive production matches the commanding lyrics in Chris "The Greek" Panaghi's "Movin' On," while Chris Cox' Club vs Dub in Danielle Bollinger's "When the Broken Hearted Love Again" harkens back to the classic Thunderpuss sound. The synth heavy "Love Will Take Over" by Ari Gold and "Cling Onto Me" by Amuka keep the energy at fever pitch, even as the disc draws to a close. The gorgeous "You Shine on Me" by Luz Divina ties up the disc to the same perfection that "Celebration" opened it.

"Global Groove" by DJ Kimberly S gives everything you could want from a dance compilation, especially if you're a fan of a fierce vox. That was some celebration!!
