I'm still not really clear if Laibach has ever intended for their
music to be taken seriously. This two disc anthology of old and new
mixes has made the above observation glaringly true. The good:
Laibach has been able to preserve the original 'industrial' feel of
their music through the past two decades while the world of industrial
music has moved more and more into the realm of dance music. The bad:
it's almost impossible to appreciate the pure 'industrial' feel when
all you can do is giggle! I mean really, can anyone not laugh while a
baritone German guy belts out his rendition of Europe's "The Final
Countdown?"
