"Right Kind of Love" is a straightforward house single. Minimal, simple,
dubby. The Original mix starts with an amped hard kick, then breaks into a
guitar riff- kicking back in with a filtered disco house feel. The vocals
are blended in with an effected loop style, and are never really out in
front of the mix- it's the guitar riff that mainly carries the melody.
Excepting for a break, nothing much happens but the same groove. Well, it is
the LoopDoctor after all. So, the overall effect is like aural wall paper
(filter disco style). It's alright. The Elite mix employs more filter
technique, and has a more dissonant sound. It breaks down, tries to
build-up, and isn't particularly convincing. While the first two mixes sound
very similar, The Midislut Vocoder Dub heads off into deeper waters, with a
thicker low end and swirling, psychedelic sounds. The minimal house beat
drops into ambient vocal stabs and a breakbeat is gently brought in before
hitting the four to the floor again. Nothing particularly offensive, yet
nothing particularly compelling.
