Centaur Music gave their hard-hitting dance music a backseat to some soft, melodic love songs in a benefit for the Human Rights Campaign and their foundation all in time for Valentine’s Day.

They spared no expense in licensing only the best in music for this one. The tracklisting reads like a Who’s-Who of the music elite. Christina Aguilera, Pink, Simply Red, Dixie Chicks, Dido, Sophie B. Hawkins, Carole King… and that’s only the FIRST CD. With so many great performers it’s tough to pick out specific ones to talk about. Cyndi Lauper’s classic Time After Time, followed by the recent 8th World Wonder by Kimberly Locke, Yoko Ono’s new single, and BT’s Simply Being Loved was a mini-set that, while not really dance, any DJ/enthusiast would love.

What better reason for purchasing a CD than for great music? How about the fact that support of this album helps educate the public and influence politicians on the need for equality among the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community? Centaur should be proud for their help in bringing this collection of fantastic songs together to help such a worthy cause.

Bravo!
