Manny Ward - U 2 Feel

Netspheres

Manny Ward is no stranger to the people who like the darker side of house music. His first release, "Crash Tribe," was pressed by the legendary Twisted Records label. He has done remix work for Empire State records, Eightball, and Netspheres (Netspheres also placed this single on their label). With "Free Yourself" by Virgo on Trax records the first house 12" he purchased, there is no wonder where he got his influences from.

Manny has been hard at work in the studio as he offers up "U II Feel" featuring Barton on the vocals. Side one gives us a stomping tribal romp. The guitar riffs fit right in with this peak-hour tribal bomb. Thick analog kick drums attack you with solid build-ups as a silky male vocal sneaks into the track. Manny also adds some great percussion to really get things going. This track will have a strong presence on many house DJ charts. It has a great sound to it and I look forward to playing this at my next gig.

Side two has the Deep Dark Jrny Mix. It moves along at a nice pace and has a little less drama. Fueled by percussion and a sinister kick drum, the track fills in nicely. This track brings Manny back to his house music core. With Barton's dark and haunting vocals to fuel your house music soul, there's no doubt that you're going to heaven. Usually you get one good song and one filler track to eat up the blank space on the other side of the vinyl. Not in this case. Record labels please take notice.
