"Always" is an airy trance track that fails to disappoint and definitely lives up to the trademark Darey sound and unique vocal styling of Lacey, even though her vocals aren't as strong on this particular track when compared to her hits with Headstrong and ATB. The sound, though, is definitely smooth and definitely produces the chill out sound you would expect to hear from a Darey release. The remixes pretty much keep this vibe going without kicking into high gear too much. While the Darey radio edit is your typical radio-friendly track, the extended club mix and the USA Mixshow stretch the track into a long blissful journey into trance that keep the essence of the original. Of course, for those dub fans, there is the Matt Darey dub that allows you to appreciate the music without the vocals. In my opinion, the vocals are what makes this such a strong track and this is evident in the Floris De Haan and the Reuben Chillout vocal mixes. These two mixes showcase the beauty of Lacey's vocal abilities and really offer two great chillout versions of the song. In fact, the Reuben version has such a sad beauty to it that it really draws the emotion out of the lyrics.
"Always" is definitely a great track that is worth checking out and each remix has its own magic that definitely works a spell over you.
