C'mon guys, with a name like that you're just begging for comparisions to bland substances, how about "White Bread" or "Tofu" for your next album title? And despite the all-star pedigree, this ten-song collection of vocal-driven downbeat down tempo never really does much to dispel that first impression. If there's not an "emo-tronica" genre already, these lads may have invented it. Languid to the point of dirge-like in spots (like the opener "Death Defying"), this is not a record to drop at the peak of a party, unless perhaps your landlord has just called to say the cops are on their way. There are some nice tunes here - the instrumental cut "Time" halfway through the album is well-crafted and "Wild-Eyed Soul" also has a nice beat. Utimately, though, the record is like the condiment -
tasty enough in small doses, but a bit much when spread too thickly.
