If you’re a fan of super-laid back, sweeping house, then this is the single for you. Think lots of reverbed and delayed effects, pads for days, and a filtered vocal track and you’ve got Into Nothing. With two mixes included, Saw Recordings goes for a slightly off-center track for this release. This isn’t something I’d throw down with at 2 a.m. when the dancefloor is going full steam. It isn’t too bad though …

Blue Haze’s original mix, which was all written, produced, and even sung by Michael Burns, is first up. It’s more in the vein of the laid-back house track I spoke of earlier. That doesn’t make it useless in a DJ’s crate, it’s just not gonna get the floor in an uproar. On the production side of things, it’s well done. The bass, the drums, everything works together well – even the vocal (that I’m not too fond of) blends well. Bill Hamel’s mix on the other hand goes for a much more stylized feel. It would be great for late, late in the night when crowds are inching off the dancefloor. This is the better of the two easily.

Be warned though, this isn’t for everyone; only discerning listeners need apply.
