Brooklyn -born singer Nayobe has been in the business for years, having worked closely with talents like Tony Moran, Mike 'Hitman' Wilson, Little Louie Vega, and now with the popular Mike Cruz.
This Mike Cruz production which features Nayobe originally made its preview on his compilation CD 'Arrival,' and it is a welcome return to the dance floor for Nayobe she has been missed there by many of her fans.
The Friscia and Lamboy Mix kicks off with a serious drum attack on the ears followed by an exploding bassline. Soon after, the moodiness of the track surrounds you and grabs at your waist, pulling you to the floor. The entire mix is complimented by layers of synthesizers throughout.
Georgie's Funky UK Mix was completed by the very busy Georgie Porgie who is seeing continued success in his own right, with hits like 'Sunshine,' 'Be Happy,' and over the years has turned out stomping remixes for acts like Sisaundra, Michael Jackson, and Masters At Work. Here he delivers a mix that is true to its name a remix that starts off a bit softer, with a more cushioned bassline but suddenly you feel some attitude coming at you with some awesome synth work that drop like cloud bursts.
The final mix of this review is from the man responsible for unleashing this track Mike Cruz. The Mike Cruz Vox Mix starts off with conga drums and vocal wailings . 'your heart' 'you brighten my world, you brighten my world now' all repeated over the hard bassline. Finely-tuned percussion, drum build-ups and keyboards play off of each effortlessly.
Nayobe delivers the vocals with confidence and firmness on this track. What a nice return!
