Ministry of Sound - Annual Spring 2004

Ministry of Sound
It’s that time of year again. As the seasons change every few months the Ministry of Sound crew also comes out with their Annual (Rightly named) CD of the best tracks and songs that represent the time of year. It usually includes a lot of today’s biggest hits, the hits of tomorrow and an occasional classic thrown in for good measure. CD 1 is dedicated to House Music as CD 2 is dedicated to Trance Music. On the CD 1 House CD it’s starts off with a remake classic of “Sunny” by the Boogie Pimps, their follow up to the hugely successful debut single “Somebody To Love”. Other solid hits that starts the mix off with includes “Hear My Name” by Armand Van Helden, “Rocking Music” by Martin Solveig, “Give It Away” by Deepest Blue, “Plug It In” by Basement Jaxx featuring JC Chaves (Formerly of N’Sync) and “Da Hype” by Junior Jack. Other gems on this CD are “Put Em High” by Stonebridge, “Somebody To Love” by Boogie Pimps, “Gypsy” by Gypsy, the new Angel City featuring Lara McAllen “Touch Me”, “To The Club” by Spankox. For a surprising ending, check out the remake of Tracy Chapmans’s “Fast Car” by DJ Sharon O’Love & 3 Elements featuring Lelani.

For the CD 2 it starts off right with the energy of Ferry Corsten’s “Rock Your Body Rock”, then the Trance kicks into full gear with “Satellite” by Oceanlab, “As The Rush Comes” by Motorcycle, “ Holding Onto Nothing” by Agnelli & Nelson. Starting to change the temp a bit we shift to “Restless” by JX, “Back To Basics” by 4 Strings, a new Michael Woods Remix of Candee Jay “If I Were You”, another new Remix by Quandrasonic of Dana Rayne’s “Object of My Desire”. The 3rd last song is a breathtaking beauty in Ferry Corsten’s Remix of “Sweeetest Dreams”. By Corderoy. Ministry of Sound puts out awesome compilations with all the hits and you’ll be hard pressed to find other compilations to match it. So don’t miss out on the fun and remember, they're a great tool for DJ’s to gauge the best dance hits.
