Murk (Oscar G. & Ralph Falcon) are back with another slice of their trademark house sound. Jennifer Carbonell does the vocals here, giving a sexy performance reminiscent of Kylie Minogue. The Murk mix stands out for the drum drama and tribal atmosphere; a synth line plays a melody that sounds very classic, but I can't quite tell why. The patch itself is pretty retro sounding- kinda like the early Inner City synth lines. Considering how long Murk has been around, it's fair to say they are legends in their own time (They were responsible for all those awesome Funky Green Dogs tracks, don'tcha know).
I like the Friscia & Lamboy mix better- it instantly hits harder for one thing; the beat is more upfront and the bassline grooves harder. It's a real head bobber. And after this hard groove is established, a killer synth stab just wrecks into the mix like a freight train- all the while keeping it low down, dark and hard. Friscia & Lamboy really succeed here in establishing a dark solid groove that simultaneously is uplifting due to Carbonell's great vocals. It's goes "La La La La La La la... Doesn't seem to matter."
