Another new singer is breaking her way onto the dance music scene, this time from across the pond. Natalia is a Polish singer who has been honing her craft for a few years now. She recently signed with Unleashed Music and her debut single is just now hitting the charts. Eric Kupper has remixed "Power Of Attraction" and as usual, the results are pretty good.
Kupper's mixes lately have been dipping into the electro side of things. While none of them have been full-on electroclash in style, there are obvious elements present. This is evident in his Club Mix for Natalia. The synth line that kicks off the mix is very basic and minimal, as is the majority of the mix. It reminds me of his stellar mix of Garbage's "Bleed Like Me' that he did a couple of years ago. The vocals are the focus of this track and the background music highlights that. They are light and airy and too many hard beats would definitely overshadow them. There's no thumping bass or tribal rhythm here. There aren't any guitar riffs or distracting bells and whistles either. It's just a simple remix with a chugging beat and a laid back groove. Kupper manages to keep the momentum going for almost nine and-a-half minutes, which is sometimes difficult for a song that isn't a booming diva anthem.
Natalia's "Power Of Attraction" is a fine start to a new music career. With a simple yet effective remix from Eric Kupper, this mix will sit nicely in an early evening time slot. Her debut CD should be arriving sometime soon, so we will have to wait and see what other tunes this new voice has sitting in the wings.
