If you are a fan of one of Israel's top house DJs, then you might be interested in the release of the new single "Be My Boyfriend" by Offer Nissim. Nissim again teams up with Maya Simantov who provides the lyrics and vocals to this new track and proves that their last outing together was no fluke. On this CD single, we find this solid club track with a club mix by Nissim himself and also four other mixes by the likes of Hector Fonseca and Cajmere Wray. The CD single also contains the bonus track "Perfect Love" which is remixed by Peter Rauhofer. Of course the "Perfect Love" track was released as a single before, and it contained a version of "Be My Boyfriend" as a bonus track also, so this song will already be familiar to some already.
As far the track goes, I personally love the feel of it and the vibe it gives. Nissim and Maya break no new ground with this song but it is definitely a club banger and especially Nissim's club mix version which oozes of sexuality and love while pulsating with hard beats and energy. In fact, Nissim's own mix is the best track on this CD and definitely plays to the dancefloor no matter what the energy is and pulsates into a frenzy. With most Nissim tracks however, its hard to fall in love with any remixes done by other people and this CD is no different. While the Jose Spinnin' Cortez Tribe Tek Mix is not that bad, the other three remixes failed to inspire the true essence of the vibe of the song.
Sometimes you just have to recognize that the original is just hard to beat. While "Be My Boyfriend" is nothing really new and original, it's
definitely still a fun and sizzling track that definitely fills the dance floor with the proper treatment. Some tracks are just meant to be form of guilty pleasures and this track is the prime example of that. If you are looking for some hedonistic fun and looking for music that brings out a playful sexuality then definitely check out this track by Offer Nissim
