You can't complain that there aren't enough choices on this lead-off single from the creators of Ian Van Dahl. Despite the somewhat simplistic chorus, the hooky melody and pop sensibilities of this song will have you singing along on the first listen. Fronted by the lovely Esther Sels, the mixes on this maxi single stay upbeat and euro-trance driven, and you get edits of three of the six versions.
The Extended Mix is the most commercial sounding with some pretty pads and thick synths. The Megara vs. DJ Lee remix is a pounding euro-club cut that ebbs with some Dutch/Scooter-esque qualities. The Dutch feel continues in the Sonic Inc. mix not my favorite on the disc , but its solid club sound and pleasant breakdowns make it worth considering. If you can look past the annoying synth loop in the intro & verses, the Elysee remix, faring best after 2 1/2 minutes in, emanates euro-infused trance energy worthy of club play.
The final two versions are high-energy dubs and are the kind of trance I look forward to on the dancefloor. As the longest track included, the Bobina mix builds to the 2 1/2 minute mark, with the 3rd quarter of the track driven along by melody with a sound I've heard before but can't peg. An aggressive, pumpin' track, the Motu remix is a highlight of the disk with its undulating bass and simple use of vocals, only sampling Esther singing "breathe" here and there.
