After making headway at dance radio last year with remixes of her song "Cut," Plumb (aka Tiffany Arbuckle Lee) is back with a new single from her forthcoming CD "Blink." "In My Arms" has already started climbing the dance charts thanks to mixes by Bimbo Jones, Gomi, Scotty K, and Bronleewe & Bose. Every mix included here goes in a different style, so this track is sure to be hitting every DJ's playlist quickly.
The Bronleewe & Bose Extended Mix is a fluffy trancy remix that is pretty much a cookie cutter sequel to their mix of "Cut" that was so popular last year. Lots of synthesizers and a pulsing beat are the highlights along with Plumb's ethereal vocal delivery. Despite these elements, the track never seems to become a club stomper. It's more radio friendly that club ready, but is still a nice mix overall. Bimbo Jones kicks up the tempo a notch with their Extended Mix. Also incorporating trance elements but with that rougher edge, this remix has more power to it. The bass is harder and the keyboards are funkier. This one will definitely get your floor moving. If you are need of something that is more on the big room anthem side of things, check out Scotty K's Extended Klub Mix. This is a pounding house remix full of big drums and bigger bass. All the instrumentation here somehow does not drown Plumb's vocals out, making this mix a perfect choice for those peak hour sets. It's a nine-minute hands-in-the-air journey that sits quite nicely amongst all the other diva tracks of the moment. Finally, the Gomi Extended Mix brings down the tempo a bit but still is full of intensity. The addition of a funkier bass line plus some guitar riffs and a dirty house vibe give the song yet another new dimension. The vocals are again the highlight with the added effects only enhancing the emotion of the song. It's another great remix to round out this package.
Plumb will surely have a huge hit on her hands with "In My Arms." Every mix here is stellar and with all the different choices, at least one will prick up your ears and get your feet to move. Scotty K, Gomi, Bimbo Jones and Bronleewe & Bose all deliver the goods here and thanks to them, this song will be all over the clubs and probably sitting pretty at the top of the dance charts very soon.
