Plummet - 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover

www.PlummetMusic.com

Plummet follow up their previous club hits "Damaged" and "Cherish The Day" by bringing us a Trancetastic cover of the Paul Simon chestnut with Cheramy Burgess's provides the detached female vocal for the verses and DJ X whispering the chorus. The various remixes suitably cover the bases for commercial clubs, the Risky Cruel Club Mix uses a gliding electronic landscape and loops the "Risk of being cruel" line as an added hook while the CS-Jay Club Mix runs a similar Trance-NRG vibe but builds a hypnotic arrangement of interwoven keyboard lines over its pounding beat. My personal favorite version would be the Johnny Budz Club Mix, which relies on a shuddering synthesizer arrangement and a slight breakbeat feel that brings to mind tracks like Gigi D'Agostino's "I'll Fly With You" or even "Black Celebration"-era Depeche Mode while DJ X's own club mix is a fairly understated turn with its slower tempo and multiple beat dropouts. Overall, a fun 'n' frothy treat that's perfectly suited to be served on summer dancefloors.
