Roger Sanchez - Release Yourself, Volume 5

Stealth / Release

Roger Sanchez a/k/a The S-Man is back on the block in time for your summer needs with 'Release Yourself 5,' released July 3rd. Heating up dance floors in Ibiza, New York, London, and Los Angeles, Sanchez showcases a fascinating mixture of house music on 'RY5.'

The pre-party disc springs off with a collection of 13 cuts ranging from everything minimal to deep house. Notable tracks include deep house heavy hitter Demarkus Lewis with the vocals of Lady Sah 'Untitled Love Affair' (Mr. V's Sole Channel Dub) and the new-on-the-scene from Moscow 'Clear Sky' by Kayot, remixed by Manoo & Francois. Rounding out the disc is Swedish producer Tiger Stripes' 'Amphytrion,' a peak-time house track with grooving bass and very techy synth lines.

16 jampacked tracks set the way for the party disc. Up first is Stealth member Tom de Neef with his latest release 'Adobe,' which has been getting support from many of the big players; followed by an exclusive re-edit of Red Carpet's 'Alright,' also by Tom. The Cube Guys bring us two of their own productions; their remix of the electrohouse anthem 'Electro' by Outwork featuring the vocals of Mr. Gee, and their original track 'There's A Woman.' The party disc leaves a bit more to be desired, ending with more commercial-flavored tracks by Starkillers and John Creamer & Stephane K. Overall, The S-Man does an adequate job keeping in line with the Release Yourself series. Fans aged and new are sure to be satisfied.
