Electronic magicians Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge blow a cloud of magic mushroom dust onto the dance floor with this single. It has a good variety of remixers, a hypnotic video (directed by Martin De Thurah), and a bonus live version of "Alpha Male." Without doubt, vocalist Karin Dreijer (The Knife) owns this tune and takes it into haunting, dark, and adventurous terrain. First up is wonderchild Stuart Price with his Thin White Duke remix. Living up to the hype that's been poured on him ever since he helped Madonna with her make-over, he puts in the top remix, taking the original to a higher place and generally setting this song on fire. Price found some rare fairy dust for this one and the result is a bouncy, melancholy yet uplifting masterpiece. Perfection; and to me, better than anything he did for Madonna- but then again he has excellent material to work with in the case of Royksopp.

Vitalic (Pascal Arbez) turns in an energetic, playful techno remix. Seriously quirky and hard-hitting, it's a good mix. Interestingly, once Arbez traversed the Berlin Wall to escape the Ukraine he dabbled in male prostitution before drawing attention in Munich and France with his electronic work. Old school tech-funk is in full effect with The Emporer Machine (Andrew Meecham) remixes- both a full vocal and a dub. New school tech funk is laid down by the one and only Trentemoller. A full vocal mix that is every bit a quirky and funky as you'd expect from this guy; the most creative treatment of all these remixes. I think Trentemoller is essential and the world just wouldn't be as funky without him. Big mix! This single is an instant classic. All around rock solid.

Caveat: the Thin White Duke radio mix is different than his extended version- and very good. If there is an extended version of his radio mix, it should be included as well. Take Trentemoller for the electro funk mind trip, Vitalic for a dose of German techno, The Emporer Machine for a 70's funk chic dressed for 2020, and the Thin White Duke remixes for a perfect union of original and remix. Grab this!
