Sarah Vaughan's classic "Fever" has recently been remixed by Adam Freeland
and is now available both on a single and on "Verve Remixed 3." While I
have yet to have the opportunity to sit down and listen to the
full-length CD, I have had the chance to listen to the single over and over again. And I must
say, I like it. I also wish there were some more remixes on it, but that
is neither here nor there. What we do have is the original version as
well as the remix and extended remix by Mr. Freeland. The original
version is worth the purchase of this single if you like this particular
song, which I do. But it is not for everyone. The remixes, however, are.
They are jazzy-chilled-moving versions of this great song. They will keep
your toes tapping and soul warm. All three tracks are also great mood
music. While it would be even better if it had a few more remixes of this
great song, it is still a nice single to add to your collection.
