Taking on a multitude of sounds, atmospheres and styles this new
full-length from Shpongle is a little bit of this and a little bit of
that. From the lush, downtempo opening strains, through tracks rooted
in progressive breaks, Brazilian-flavored house, flamenco rhythms, dub
and drum and bass-styled, broken beats; this is as diverse and unique
as any album you are likely to hear this year. It doesn't always
work, but where it does, its creates a vibe that is deep and soulful
in all the right ways
