Before I begin, I must say that I'm very wary of this mix. I get a feeling of a mega mix on our hand. There is no doubt in my mind that Porter is one of the top DJs in the world. Crowds upon crowds know him for his infectious Porterhouse sound. The mix consists of 26 tracks and 9 original works by Porter and company. Steve has also done a great job of keeping the mix "in house" per say. The album features works by some of Steve's local Bostonians Emjae, Jonathan Hart, and Island 9, just to name a few. From the beginning of the mix Steve is relentless; he starts out with one of his very own productions with DJ Hush- Carismo (Aaryn Blain remix). We are then treated with a rather unique bassline from Boston's Island 9 with Request Line. The middle of the mix gets interesting with Blowing Up My Phone remixed by Bon Johnson, an amazing track that really stands out from the rest. The Limit by Emjae and Funky Theory by Porter continue the relentless aural assault. Now going back to what I said in the beginning about the mix being mega-. I'll take that back at this point. Steve does an excellent job keeping the flow of the tracks together, despite there being so many tracks mixed in.
