CD1 – Mixed by Jose Nunez

Number eight in Subliminal's house mix pedigree is no less deserving of a good review than any of its predecessors. On CD1 we're delivered a smooth mix of recent classics by no other than Jose Nunez who's made quite a name for himself both on the album circuit and through a constant tour schedule over the past few years. On this album we're greeted by tunes such as H.C.C.R's "Warped" and Superchumbo's "Dirty Filthy" (Chus Remix) all pulled together in the seamless manner for which Subliminal is known for.The mix spans many different tastes of house, compiling everything in a way that you won't even know what's going on half-way through. Here we see some classic San Fran house along with Acid, Tech and some up-front material.

Overall this mix is good enough to sell on it's own but lucky us we've got 12 more tracks on the other side!

CD2

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Angello and Ingrosso drop a bomb mixing some acid, progressive, and techy tunes demanding some of my attention toward the volume knob. Many of the tunes on this side have been progressed by the likes of house music's biggest over the past few months. Songs like Cirez D's "Teaser" and Tony Senghore's "Peace" (Ingrosso Mix) set the stage for a well-formed album and excellent transaction from tune to tune. If you're into those chilled out house mixes that you can put on and sit back to then this one isn't for you as the energy and excitement here are much more than you could handle.

Overall both CDs have their own flavor and I'm feeling both at the moment but side two has a funky chunk that is not to be missed.
