Fans of deep and delicious moody club fare a la Creamer & K are going to love the remix package for Sylvia Tosun's latest single "Sleepless." Brought out of its original mystic charm by Lance Jordan, these club mixes interpret the track into a whole new demographic. The Lance Jordan Club Remix is the main progressive masterpiece, accenting Sylvia's major-to-minor vocal stylings with just the right mix of tribal undertones and melancholy spirit. The vocal version is accessorized by a dub mix and radio edit for good measure. Jordan also lends his remixing skills to the Jordan & Cullenberg Late Nite Horney Remix, a much longer outing that is sure to please fans of releases from labels like Star 69 or Tribal. This mix grinds along with all the clinks and clanks of a good Murk production, but spaces the verses and chorus out so much that it more resembles a dub than a vocal version. All the vocals are there, but the breaks between them keep the song from taking flight.

http://www.SylviaTosun.comThe real gem here is the trancier AM Corona mix, bringing to mind any number of Ian Van Dahl or Peter Luts productions. The instrumentation is perfect for the lyrical mood of the song, and it builds to a prompt fever pitch before passing off to a dropout that introduces Sylvia's angelic vocal. This mix is long enough to make any DJ happy, but not so drawn out that the punters lose interest. It cuts-to-the-chase on the dance elements and is without a doubt the most programmable and energetic of the mixes offered. Overall the remix package is solid., but after hearing the successful interpretations of Sarah Brightman's "Harem" a few years ago, the only regret here is that someone didn't offer a mix that capitalized on the Arabic melody of the original album version.
