Ministry of Sound - The Annual 2005

Everytime the Annaul comes out. I always review the UK Editions. So this time I decided do them together. So here we go with the UK Edition of The Annual 2005. The CD1 starts out with my favorite anthem of the year with "Call On Me" by Eric Prydz. Then after that the hits are pouring in with "Pump It Up' by Danzel, "Put Em High" by Stonebridge Featuring Therese, "Every Little Time" by Onyx, "My My My" by Armand Van Helden, "Get It On" by Intenso Project featuring Lisa Scott-Lee, "Enjoy The Silence" by Depeche Mode, "Stupidisco" by Junior Jack, "California Soul" by Riot Act, "Out of Touch" by Dave Armstrong, and "To The Club" by Spankox. The beginning and the end of this CD are awesome, but something is lacking in the middle. CD2 starts off with a bang with "Do You Know (I Go Crazy)" by Angel City featuring Lara McAllen, "My Neck, My Back" by Khia, "Back For Me" by Candee Jay, "Object of My Desire" by Dana Rayne, "Sweet Child of Mine" by Lazy Boyz, "Sweet Dreams" by Kontakt, "Winter" by DT8 Project, "Silence 2004" by Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlan, "Operation Blade 2005" by Public Domain,
using "Everyday" by Agnelli & Nelson to close out this mix, a better one all around. Now for a bonus, the 3rd CD is a compilation of 20 of the sexiest videos in the dance scene. Some of my personal favorites on here include "Call On Me" by Eric Prydz, "Somebody To Love" by Boogie Pimps, "Pump It Up" by Danzel, the all-time/tool time classic "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi, "Loneliness" by Tomcraft, "The Boys of Summer" by DJ Sammy and "It's All Vain" by Magnolia. All of these songs are not only hits, but the videos rock as well. But better check your DVD Players to make sure they can play a UK DVD.
The US Edition of The Annual changed quite a bit from the UK Edition but is equally strong and holds its own. CD1 starts off with "Call On Me" by Eric Prydz, "Flashdance" by Deep Dish, "How Would You Feel" by David Morales featuring Lee Lorien, "Lola's Theme" by Shape:UK, "Put Em High" by Stonebridge featuring Therese, "The Weekend" by Michael Gray, "Get Up Stand Up" by Stellar Project featuring Brandi Emma, "Move Your Body" by Nina Sky, "Surrender" by Lasgo and ending on "Cherish The Day" by Plummet. This mix goes on a rollercoaster ride and mixes many genres of dance music together very smoothly. CD2 starts with "Come Along Now vs. Gia" by Despina Vandi, "Steppin Out" by Kascade, "Luv 2 Luv" by Suzanne Palmer, "Which Way You're Going" by Robbie Rivera, "Do You Know (I Go Crazy)" by Angel City featuring Lara McAllen, "You Are All of That" by Danzel, "Until You Love Me" by 4 Strings and ending on a awesome breakbeat remix of En Vogue's "Don't Let Go" by Nicole Mirra. Both Annuals are completely different yet are extremely good at catering to there country and market respectively. So for those of you who are a fan of both, I suggest to get them both.
