Such an exciting package to open, this is the first single off of Uberzone's highly-anticipated sophomore album. It features two amazing breakbeat cuts in the classic and raw format. One of the masters of Nu Skool breaks does it again with near perfectionism and impressive mix-ability on these 2 new tracks from his recent album, Ideology.
"Satisfaction" (purchase/download) has all the classic elements of an Uberzone original jam -- layered percussion, synth sounds, lots of bass, and clever vocal samples. I anticipated grinning more, but still enjoyed the searing grooves and awesome percussion.
"Fubar" (purchase/download) as the second track gets a little dirtier with its distorted beats and edits and cool sci-fi sounds. Some of the beats here hit you right between the eyes with twisted energy, taking on a cosmic journey of sound, etc.
Both cuts are quality, but not outstanding in their own right. Hopefully the album packs a complete punch to surround these numbers.
