Guide Review - D1 Music Presents Club Christmas 3

D1 Music returns with their annual edition of Christmas classics updated for the techno generation. Elements of nrg, electro and trance are infused into these instrumental versions of such popular traditionals as "Twelve Days of Christmas" and "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen."

Those familiar with the previous editions will be happy to hear that the production values have improved - with some tracks being almost club-playable like "Ding Dong Merrily on High" (almost Darude inspired) and "O Come, All Ye Faithful." I could imagine someone like Armin or Tiesto ending their set on Christmas Eve with one of these tracks.

Where as previous volumes were marred with dated tracks, most of these interpretations sound pretty current (aside from the AliceDeejay-esque take on "Twelve Days of Christmas" - but then again - what could be done to modernize that for modern day electronica without sounding cheesy.)
