Release number two for Notorious Elektro, this time featuring the talents of Human Body, fresh from their hot release for Good Life Records in Frnace. This EP brings us the "Original Mix" of the title cut; a gritty, straightforward electro mover and the "Gino's and Snake Plissken Mix," a more driving and upfront version. The real gem here however is Messiah, simple, slow-rising electro flavored tech house with a massive bassline. Atmospheric and dark in all the right ways. ****(4 of 5)
Semitone Shuffle – Martin Brodin – Deeplay Soultec (DE)
This debut release from Martin Brodin sounds an awful lot like "Knights of the Jaguar," in fact, too much like it for my tastes. The flip, however, features the "Dibaba 7th Wave Remix" and is an absolutely bumpin', jackin' tech-house romp. Complete with much of the original keys and bassline, this track has a funky, bouncy flavor that will move any dancefloor.
