Video Clip of the Week: Hilary Duff - "Reach Out"

Continuing her metamorphosis into Kylie, Hilary reaches back into to the Depeche Mode catalog for a retooling of "Personal Jesus" as the lead single for her greatest hits cd. Its definitely a cute idea though it was done just a few years ago by Jamelia who had a major UK hit with "Beware of the Dog." Nevertheless the video is cute, minus the extraneous rap. Watch out for remixes by DJ Escape & Dom Capello, Richard Vission and Chico/Bermudez. Check out the video in the listening booth.

anyhow, this song..um, haveing depeche mode been a huge inspiration to me, & one of my favorite bands, personal jesus has never been a favorite of mine by them, it’s actully my least favorite, and basically i desregard every attempt by anyone to use samples of it, including peter rauhofers in the remake/remix of soft cells tainted love…
..so add this to the list, and awful attempt to use the sample, not only due my not liking it, but also the lyrics of this just aren’t that great…it’ll get played a few times, but don’t think it will go anywhere…
