Emm: Who did you work with on this album?
Georg: Most of the songs I produced together or recorded together with Axel Reinemer from Jazzanova, in their studio. He was a great help. I mean I wrote and arranged everything myself before I went to the studio. For instance, when there were electronic beats, I programmed them beforehand. I went with all my stuff into his studio. He recorded it and he made it sound more professional if you will. And also when I got trapped here and there, we kind of worked it out together. But most of the time I knew actually exactly what I wanted before I went to the studio. For him it was also bit challenging because he was only used to recording electronic stuff and maybe vocalists. But with me, we recorded live strings and trumpets and French horns and drums and whatever. He was also a very, very picky guy, and took his time and he’s very ambitious. So, yes, it was a very good combination and we have a very similar taste in music, and there was a very fruitful cooperation there. I also worked with Dixon, who’s a house DJ from Berlin. I work a lot with him, and I’m touring with him here in the States at the moment. And, I worked with a guy called Robert Phillips. He’s from a German hip-hop band called Mellow Bag. They are French hip-hop players, actually. They were releasing records like in the mid 90’s, and now he’s producing other people. I don’t have my own studio, and I needed experienced people who are good at recording and dealing with all these things. So I asked him if he would like to produce with me. I produced the first three songs with him.

Emm: Which three were those?
Georg: Those were "Everything", "Can’t Hold Back" and there’s another song called "True Desire", which is not on the album in America and in Europe, it’s only in Japan.

Emm: You've worked with Dixon in the past as Wahoo. What remixes have you done with the Wahoo project, and do you have any original work?
Georg: Yes. We have remix of a Victor Davis song, "Runaway Train", and we remixed a song by Brooks called "Color Me Bad". We also remixed Jazzanova's "That Night". We’re going to work on an album, on a Wahoo album, and we have a singer already recorded this year, but we haven't done the final mix. It’s going to be release quite soon.

Emm: Will it be a house music album?
Georg: Yes, more or less. I mean, we’re not strictly house. We also have some like hip-hopish beat sounds, but it will be really basically house. Let’s say, it’s going to be a dance album.

Emm: You’re on tour in the US right now?
Georg: Yes, this is like a little promotion tour, it’s just two of us together, me and Dixon. I have a band, but I couldn’t bring them all over to the States unfortunately. On this tour, Dixon is DJing and I’m singing a couple of songs. So far we’ve been to San Francisco at a club called Club Six. The next day we went to Miami to the Marilyn Bar, which is a hotel that is owned by Chris Blackwell; that was a very nice gig. And on Sunday we had the great pleasure to be at Club Shelter in New York, which was a great evening. It was very, very nice and people were very nice as well. Everyone was responding to the music and everyone said it was a very great and motivating experience. We're heading to Chicago tomorrow, and we’re going to perform at the Smart Bar. Then we’re going to go to Puerto Rico Saturday, and we play at the Kendula Arts Festival.

Emm: Is this your first trip to the States?
Georg: Musically, yes.

Emm: What do you think? Have audiences been pretty receptive to you?
Georg: Yes, it’s nice. I mean it all went so fast. The first three days were a little bit unreal. We left Berlin early in the morning, arrived at San Francisco after fifteen hours, and it was already five o’clock in the afternoon there. We didn’t have any sleep on the plane, went straight to the club, performed, had two hours sleep in the hotel. At seven o’clock in the morning, we took the plane to Miami with stopovers and things like that. We performed in Miami, with only three or four hours of sleep and then went to New York and the same thing. So we're a little bit exhausted. But we enjoyed it. It’s great how people respond over here, it’s been a very nice experience.

Emm: Speaking of favorite songs, do you have a favorite song from the album or is there one that resonates with you more than any others, or you like them all?
Georg: Yes, I like them all, actually. I've written other songs that I don’t like anymore. But with the album, I was listening to it over and over and over again and there’s no song on it which I have on it now that I think I shouldn't have. I’m actually quite happy with it. I think the title track is a song that expresses the overall message of the album. It’s a song that I quite like because it’s very emotional in a way, but at the same time it doesn’t take itself serous.
