2007 Year End Chart - DJ Ron Slomowicz

2006 Year End Chart - Singles (and remixes) - Alphabetical Order
From my personal playlists and dancefloor responses

Freemasons featuring Siedah Garrett - Rain Down Love (Ultra)
The reigning kings of disco house team up with the Brand New Heavies diva for the plaintive anthem. Check out their CDs Shakedown and Uninvited for a bountiful selection of their hits and remixes.

Hilary Duff - With Love (Hollywood)
Another step in her Kylie-esque transformation, former teen queen Duff ruled dance floors and dance radio with this confection thanks to the Richard Vission remix. That sweet smell is her new perfume line for which this was the theme.

Ida Corr vs Fedde Le Grand - Let Me Think About it (Data-UK)
Proving that he isn't a one hit wonder, Fedde struck gold this year following up Put Your Hands Up for Detroit and The Creeps with this underground smash.

Idina Menzel - Defying Gravity (Warner)
Can you get any more gay than a dance remix of a Broadway show tune? The theme from Wicked, remixed by Josh Harris and Funky Junction among others, is the first single from Idina's forthcoming artist album.

Jacinta - Can't Keep It a Secret (Chunky)
Third time was the charm for this Aussie songstress with this Pride-ready anthem. Can't Keep It a Secret is about being true to yourself, sharing your life, and being open about who you are. More than any song in recent memory, it's a liberating story that we can all embrace.

Mason vs. Princess Superstar - Perfect Exceeder (Ultra)
The mashup craze continued in 2007 with this white label of an underground tech track with a naughty girl rap becoming a pop hit all around the world. The video with the sexy girls and guys doing gymnastics didn't hurt either.

Paul Van Dyk featuring Jessica Sutta - White Lies (Mute)
Global superstar dj/producer plus Pussycat Doll equals smash club anthem. Eurotrance pop at its finest.

Plumb - In My Arms (Curb)
Starting of a lullaby, this follow-up to the multiformat smash Cut, receives massive dance radio airplay thanks to the Bimbo Jones remix.

Rihanna - Umbrella (Island/Def Jam)
The ubiquitous r&b jam was inescapable this summer. With remixes by Jody den Broeder and Seamus Haji, it was a huge club anthem as well.

Robyn with Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat (Interscope)
A little more subtle and less of a club record, fluffy keyboards provide the backdrop for this emotional breakup song. It also provides the perfect counterpoint follow-up to Robyn's quirky underground buzz record Konichiwa Bitches.

Speakerbox featuring Michelle Shaprow - Time (Trackworks)
Elements of electro and rock fused together with great pop lyrics for the sleeper hit of the year. And if Stacy London likes it, you know it's got to be good.

Ultra Nate - Automatic (Tommy Boy)
Covering a Pointer Sisters classic is not easy, but Miss Ultra brought it. Her cd Grime Silk Thunder is further proof why she is worshipped as a legendary dance diva.

The next 12:

September - Cry For You (Robbins)
