Adam Nickey featuring Tiff Lacey - Letting Go

Deep Blue Records

Can't Let Go of Tiff Lacey

I have to admit that anytime I hear that a track has been released with Tiff Lacey doing the vocals, my ears pick up with anticipation and my heart starts skipping with joy. Not only does Lacey have the incredible ability to uplift any musical track to another level with her airy and dreamy voice, she also has worked with some of the most talented artists in the field including Headstrong, Matt Darey, and my favorite, ATB. So it is definitely nice to review another song featuring Tiff Lacey, this time in collaboration with up and coming Polish trance producer and DJ Adam Nickey. Adam Nickey, who has also gone by the name of Kai Del Noi, is mostly known for uplifting trance that is immersed in an enigmatic and magical atmosphere that is guided by angelic vocal arrangements. So it is definitely a great joy to introduce the collaboration of Adam Nickey and Tiff Lacey on the track "Letting Go."

The remixes of Letting Go

"Letting Go" showcases the unique talents of both artists in that they create a lush and atmospheric trance track that definitely elevates the listener to another level of euphoria that is both uplifting and moving. This track is filled with emotional lyrics that are enhanced by beautiful synths and melodies that seem to float endlessly off of each other. The CD single that is offered contains the radio edit plus two remixes by Adam Nickey himself for the club, and also the Andrey Loud, John Huijbers Club, Tasadi Vocal, and Michael Witness Ambient mix. The remixes by Nickey retain the trance-like sound of the original track but elevate it for the trance club set while Andrey Loud and Tasadi Vocal mixes are more progressive in nature and definitely help get the heart beating faster on the dance floor. I have to admit, though, that my favorite remix is the Michael Witness Ambient version which takes the already atmospheric track and makes it even more subdued and gives it a dreamlike airy vibe that elevates you and keeps you in a blissful state of euphoria that has to be embraced. When music has a way of enchanting you into submission like "Letting Go" does, you know you have definitely found a great tune.

Letting Go Overall

While "Letting Go" may sound like some of Tiff Lacey's other collaborations, it still has the power to evoke a sensation that is both soothing and uplifting and creates a wonderful trance experience no matter the location. This collaboration is definitely a worthy listen which stands on its own merits and I definitely hope to see more collaborations between these two talented individuals. Even though this song begs of you to release yourself of the world around you, you will definitely have a hard time of letting this song go from your playlist or your head. Definitely go out and check out this amazing track and you will not regret you did.

Released August 2008 on Deep Blue Records.
