Ian Van Dahl, the Trance Trio from Belgium responsible for changing the face of Trance music with such classic hits like "Castles In The Sky," "Will I," "Reason," "Try," "I Can't Let You Go," and "Where Are You Now" have gone House? Nah, is that true? No! Can't be. No one who is famed for trance turns to house. Think again people. I think this is the perfect way for Ian Van Dahl to reinvent themselves. Of the many tracks off their recent "Lost & Found" album, many people say this is the single that stands out tall above the rest. It's because it is different and unique to what they have been accustomed to over the years. But trust me, this works and the trend is forming to the left. You want examples of trance music going house... Simple, look at Tiesto Featuring Kirsty Hawkshaw for "Just Be" via the Wally Lopez Mix or DT8 Project's Max Graham remix of "Winter."
Remixes can be one thing, but trance turned house by the Original producers 'to my knowledge' either hasn't been done before or is very rare. Besides the Original Extended and Radio Edit you have a combination of trance and house with mixes by Peter Luts of Lasgo, TDR, and Cecem. Trance, Waffles and Pomme Frites aren't the only things that are hot in Belgium, give Ian Van Dahl credit for thinking outside the box and chalk up another successful single.
