Clubland Loves Kristine W
Kristine W has enjoyed massive success on the club scene - piling up an impressive 13 number-one hits on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart With her booming and soulful voice and dance friendly lyrics. What has baffled me for several years was the fact that Kristine W has yet to manage to crack the mainstream music scene and give the likes of Kylie and Madonna a run for their money. This doesn’t stop her from creating some great music and she definitely knows how to work a crowd and the dance floor. So it is definitely great that she has a new album called The Power of Music which has spawned three Number One dance hits , "The Boss," "Never" and the new single "Love is the Look."
"Love Is The Look" Is Packed With Remixes
The Maxi CD single that was released for ""Love is the Look"" is overstuffed with twelve remixes by Love to Infinity, Ralphi Rosario, Deepswing, Mr. Mig, Tod Miner, and Massi & De Leon. Each remix adds it on unique spin on the track which really makes this a well-rounded release and we are treated to both the radio edits and the longer club mixes. The Ralphi Rosario mixes are definitely geared to pack the club floor with its hard driving and melodic beats with the dub version coming in harder and deeper than the rest. Love to Infinity remixes though on the other hand are bit lighter and generates a fun peppy vibe that elevates it to a joyride musical experience.
A Variety Of Sounds
We see, on the other hand, a funky groove side to the track with the remix from Deepswing which takes advantage of Kristine's powerful vocals to give it a little flare of soul and emotion. Mr. Mig's version offers up another slice of dance floor beats that proves just as addictive as Kristine's voice while Massi & De Leon offers up deep pounding tribal beats that pulsates with energy and definitely punctuates the track with an attitude. Last but not least we have Tod Miner's Elektro Hot Wheels Club mix which provide plenty of bassline and chirpy beats that definitely doesn't fail to please on or off the dance floor.
